Here's the truth: Amazon's Buy Box isn't just about price. It's about maximizing Amazon's profit.
The Buy Box Secret Most Sellers Miss
When I audit listings for brands doing $10M+, I consistently find they've mastered these Buy Box triggers:
Fulfillment Method: FBA products get a massive advantage. Why? Amazon makes more money when they handle fulfillment (storage fees, fulfillment fees, etc.).
Perfect Order Percentage (POP): This hidden metric tracks how many of your orders ship on time, arrive undamaged, and don't get returned. Every percentage point below 95% dramatically reduces your Buy Box share.
Landed Price: Not just your product price, but price + shipping. Even if you're a penny higher than competitors, you can still win the Buy Box if your other metrics are strong.
